Single Review: Def Leppard “Undefeated” Mirrorball [2011]

British rock icons Def Leppard present their latest single from the upcoming live compilation Mirrorball: Live & More.

The brand new track “Undefeated” begins with a victorious drum groove and Hysteria-esque chants.  The band channels 1990’s Aerosmith harmonies during the bridge prior to the first chorus (0:46).  The main guitars and drums during the verses provide a bad seamstress bluesy stomp.

While this track is not exactly sticky sweet, it is a pleasant revival of the old school Leppard in some respects.  For example, the chorus is sing-along friendly and the guitar fills are a plenty.
