Van Halen is a hard rock band from California that has been active since the late 1970s.  Eddie Van Halen is arguably the most influential rock guitarist of all time.  In the early 1980s, Van Halen was fronted by Diamond David Lee Roth, a great show man, one of the very best.  When Roth left the group, the band gained Sammy Hagar (according to his autobiography, Hagar actually took a pay cut to join Van Halen), while Roth put out several successful solo records.  Here are the Top 10 Van Halen Songs to feature David Lee Roth:

1.  “Panama” 1984 (1984)

2.  “Runnin’ With The Devil” Van Halen (1978)

3.  “Jump” 1984 (1984)

4.  “Ain’t Talkin’ ’bout Love” Van Halen (1978)

5.  “Hot For Teacher” 1984 (1984)

  1. Interesting choices. Saw them last night in A.C. and have actually been thinking that Panama just might be the best thing they ever did. Kudos for including Everybody Wants Some – seems like an obvious choice but have seen a couple lists (containing 30 and 21 songs, respectively) and EWS was not on either list! Love Mean Street too. Don’t agree 100% with all your choices (based on my personal taste alone) but it’s a pretty good list.
