Over the last month Pantera drummer Vinnie Paul and frontman Phil Anselmo have made comments regarding a future reunion of the legendary metal band. Paul stated that Zakk Wylde would be the man to fill in for the late Dimebag Darrell on guitar. Phil Anselmo is not as sold on the idea, but seems to be open to the idea of a reunion in the future.

Anselmo said the following in an interview with WGRD 97.9: “If anything like that [Pantera reunion] would ever possibly happen, Vince and I would have to sit in the same room, hash out whatever differences that we have, and as far as Zakk Wylde goes, I am not too sold on that ’cause we have to hash some crap out too. That day has not come yet, and until that day comes, I can comment further on that, but till then it is just talk. It would be rough not to see Dimebag on stage to my left, I would feel naked.”

Sounds like there is a chance to me; at least a much better chance than Guns N’ Roses getting it together. We say get those two in a damn room already and let’s see what comes of it.
