Linkin Park pops up on the Gears of Rock’s Top 100 countdown in the #93 position. Whether you love these guys or can’t stand them, no one can ignore the fact that the band has sold close to 50 million albums worldwide. No rock band does that in this day and age. Their debut album alone sold over 24 million worldwide. While 10 million of those sales may have been from American teenyboppers, it does not mean the band is unoriginal or untalented. Frankly, I am sick of them because of the amount of airplay they receive. Between 2000 and 2002, I saw them live six times, and not because I ever bought a ticket to see them. It was because they were on every major festival and rock show bill that passed through the area. Anyways, I understand and respect them as a rock group. Here are the best songs in the Linkin Park’s catalog: “Somewhere I Belong,” “Numb,” “Crawling,” “Faint,” “Shadow of the Day,” “Breaking the Habit,” “Papercut,” “Bleed It Out,” “One Step Closer,” and “What I’ve Done.”

Best Song: “In the End” (2000)

Best Album: “Meteora” (2003)

Best/Most Annoying Tour: Hybrid Theory Tour 2000/2002

Most Valuable Member: Chester Bennington – Vocals

Fun Fact: Chester Bennington has replaced singer Scott Weiland in Stone Temple Pilots.
